Dr. Md. Ekramul Hoque
Dr. Md. Ekramul Hoque, Professor in the Department of Biotechnology of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU), Dhaka, Bangladesh. He completed his Ph.D degree from Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, India. He did his Post-Doctoral research at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi. He has 32 years of Research and Teaching experiences on Plant Breeding, Molecular Genetics, Genetic Engineering and Plant Tissue Culture. He achieved Young Scientist Gold Medal Award from Bangladesh Academy of Sciences. He is the Co -author of the Book- An Introduction to Plant Tissue Culture. He innovated a new Plant Tissue Culture Medium. He has copyright and patent for the formulation of a Plant tissue culture medium. Being a Professor, his main interest is to educate the students and doing research the betterment of mankind. At present he is working as " Tissue Culture Consultant of the Project - Tissue Culture laboratory cum Horticulture Center Establishment and Development. It is governed by the Horticulture Wing of the Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE), Khamerbari, Dhaka-1215 .
