Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU) is organizing a three-day academic development program titled “Reviewing and Updating Curriculum Design and Layout for the Faculty of Agribusiness Management and the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine,” scheduled from 24 to 26 June 2025. This initiative aims to strengthen the academic framework of both faculties by modernizing their curricula in line with global advancements, market demands, and national development priorities.

The program will focus on a comprehensive review of the existing curriculum structure, course contents, learning outcomes, and assessment strategies. It aims to ensure that the revised curricula reflect the latest trends in agribusiness management, agricultural economics, animal science, veterinary medicine, livestock technologies, food safety, and sustainable agricultural practices. The revision process also seeks to integrate contemporary themes such as digital agriculture, climate-smart livestock systems, entrepreneurship development, and innovation-driven agribusiness solutions.

Active engagement with faculty members, students, industry leaders, professional associations, and relevant stakeholders will be a key component of the workshop. Through consultations, group discussions, and collaborative exercises, participants will identify existing gaps, emerging skill requirements, and opportunities for interdisciplinary learning. The program will also emphasize alignment with national standards, including Outcome-Based Education (OBE), BNQF requirements, and accreditation guidelines to ensure quality and compliance.

The updated curriculum framework aims to enhance student competency, strengthen employability, promote research-oriented learning, and align academic programs with the evolving needs of the agricultural and livestock sectors. By adopting modern curriculum design principles and ensuring a structured layout, SAU reinforces its commitment to delivering high-quality education and producing skilled, globally competitive graduates.

This initiative reflects SAU’s dedicated efforts toward academic excellence, continuous improvement, and sustainable development within the higher education system.
