Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU) is organizing a comprehensive workshop titled “BNQF Adoption, OBE Curriculum and Accreditation Process” on 28 April 2025. The objective of this program is to enhance institutional capacity in implementing the Bangladesh National Qualifications Framework (BNQF), strengthening Outcome-Based Education (OBE) practices, and preparing academic units for national and international accreditation.
The workshop will provide an in-depth understanding of BNQF, which serves as a structured guideline to ensure consistency, quality, and comparability of academic programs across educational institutions in Bangladesh. Participants will explore the BNQF levels, learning descriptors, and the alignment of university curricula with national qualification standards.
A major focus of the program will be on Outcome-Based Education (OBE)—a modern, student-centered approach that emphasizes measurable learning outcomes. The agenda includes discussions on course mapping, curriculum alignment, defining Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs), Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs), assessment strategies, and continuous improvement mechanisms. Participants will gain hands-on knowledge of developing OBE-aligned syllabi, designing assessment tools, and maintaining documentation required for quality assurance.
In relation to the accreditation process, the workshop will highlight the standards and criteria of accreditation bodies, the preparation of Self-Assessment Reports (SAR), stakeholder involvement, evidence collection, quality indicators, and internal monitoring procedures. The session will also address best practices for ensuring compliance, enhancing program quality, and achieving accreditation readiness.
Through expert presentations, interactive discussions, and practical exercises, this workshop aims to equip faculty members, academic leaders, and administrative personnel with the necessary skills and knowledge to strengthen SAU’s academic systems. The initiative reflects SAU’s strong commitment to improving educational quality, ensuring accountability, and aligning its academic programs with national policies and global standards.
