About
Sharif Ahammad is currently working as a ‘Lecturer’ at the Department of Development and Poverty Studies, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He completed both his B.Sc. in Agricultural Economics (Hons.) and M.S. in Development and Poverty Studies from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, graduating with high distinction and securing the dean's award for outstanding academic achievement. He published articles in different peer-reviewed journals (Q1 and Q2). He secured two competitive research grants. He is involved in a research project on “Climate sensitivity of the supply chain of the major cereal crops in Bangladesh” funded by IFAD, the Department of Agricultural Marketing (DAM), and the Ministry of Agriculture, Bangladesh. His research interest focuses on Agricultural Economics, technology adoption, impact assessment, climate change, renewable energy, efficiency analysis and rural livelihood.
