Md. Sirajul Islam Khan has been serving as a professor in the Department of Agricultural Chemistry at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, since January 2020. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Hons.) and Master of Science in Agricultural Chemistry from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University and achieved first-class second, and a CGPA of 4.0 (out of 4.0), respectively, at undergraduate and master’s level. Again, he completed his Master of Science in Agriculture from Kagawa University, Japan, with a Government (MEXT) Scholarship. He also completed his PhD in Plant Biochemistry under the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Ehime University, Japan, with a Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship. Siraj’s research broadly focuses on pesticides, trace elements (heavy metals) contamination, plant nutrients, water quality, food safety, allelochemicals from biota, and human and environmental health risk assessment of pesticides and heavy metals in the agricultural matrix. So far, he has published forty-five (45) research articles in different international peer-reviewed journals. He is a reviewer of more than twelve peer-reviewed international journals. He is serving as an associate editor of the Journal of Phytological Sciences (https://gr-journals.com/journals/jps/editorial-team) and lead guest editor of the Journal of Environmental Health Insights (https://journals.sagepub.com/topic/collections-ehi/002087/ehia?), respectively.
