Welcome! I am Arif Jewel.
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural Engineering at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU). My research uses experimental methods and laboratory techniques to study sediment transport and fluid flow, alongside bedload transport using PIV and numerical modeling of pore scale analysis using LBM-DEM. As a faculty, I also do research and teaching in the field of agricultural mechanization, precision, and smart agriculture.
Before arriving at SAU, I worked at Rural Development Academy (RDA) as Deputy Director. I joined RDA in 2013 as an Assistant Director. At RDA, my job responsibilities were research, action research, training, and consultancy in the diverse field of rural development especially focusing on agricultural mechanization, irrigation, and water management.
