I received my Ph.D. in Horticulture from the Kyungpook National University, South Korea. I am currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Seed Technology, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Bangladesh.
I am an early-career researcher with a strong background in plant breeding and cytogenetics, supported by both academic and industry experience. My research interests encompass plant breeding, polyploidization, cytogenetics, and molecular biology in Horticultural crops. I possess technical expertise in fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), genomic in situ hybridization (GISH), embryo rescue techniques, DNA extraction, and polymerase chain reaction (PCR). My research is primarily focused on the genetic improvement of Horticultural crops through advanced breeding strategies and cytogenetic approaches.
In addition to my research activities, I am actively engaged in mentoring undergraduate, master’s, and Ph.D. students, providing guidance in research design, experimental setup, data analysis, and scientific writing. I have experience in developing research methodologies, interpreting experimental results, and preparing manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Master of Science in Genetics and Plant Breeding from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University. My master’s research focused on the analysis of genetic diversity in chili (Capsicum spp.).
Following the completion of my M.S. degree, I worked for approximately one year in a World Bank-funded project under the Department of Education. I subsequently gained two years of research experience at an agricultural research institute.
In 2018, I was awarded the prestigious BK21 scholarship by the Government of South Korea, which supported my doctoral studies at Kyungpook National University (February 2018–February 2022). After completing my Ph.D., I continued my research as a postdoctoral scholar at the same institution for almost three years. I am looking for research collaboration.
