Dr. Ranjan Roy is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural Extension & Information System, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has been involved with teaching, research, and outreach activities since 2006. He designs, develops, and conducts several courses for B.Sc. Ag. (Hons.), B.Sc. Ag. Econ. (Hons.), MS, and Ph.D. programmes. Dr. Roy supervises Master and PhD students. Of late, he was a “Research Fellow” in the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy, University of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. He served as a “Teaching Fellow” in the School of Humanities, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2018. Dr. Roy was a USM-TWAS Fellow and obtained a Ph.D. in (Natural) Resource Management at USM, Malaysia. His Ph.D. works have been published in renowned peer-reviewed journals, namely, Sustainability Science (IF - 4.669). Dr. Roy secured research training on “Environmental Policy” in the Global Cooperation Institute (GCI), Yokohama City University, Japan. He has completed projects in diverse areas such as Adaptation Pathways, Resilient Agriculture, Community-Based Adaptation, and Water Governance. His current research interests include, Resilient/Sustainable Agriculture, Climate-Smart Agriculture, Climate-Resilient Development Pathways, and Sustainable Coastal Socio-Ecological Systems. He recently published a book on "Coronavirus & Climate Change: Tales of Two Crises."
