Md. Abdul Baten is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fishing and Post Harvest Technology under the faculty of Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Marine Science at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has completed his B.Sc. (Fisheries), MS in Fisheries Technology and Quality Control with distinction from Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh, and also completed the Erasmus Mundus Masters course in Tropical Biodiversity and Ecosystem from Belgium, Italy, and Malaysia. His research interest includes fish processing and preservation, fishery product development, food safety, fisheries microbiology, aquatic biodiversity conservation, ecosystem services of mangroves, climate change adaption, livelihood, and vulnerability analysis of small-scale fishers in Bangladesh.
