Dr. Mst. Sharifa Jahan is associate professor and acting chairman of Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology under the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She did her PhD in Pharmaceutical science in Meijo University, Nagoya, Japan. She obtained Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Bangladesh Agricultural University. Mymensingh and Masters of Science in Pharmacology from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) with Gold Medal Award. Her research specialization is neuro-pharmacology with gene knock out mice. Her research interest is Phyto-chemical extraction for drug therapy, Neuro-Pharmacology, Antimicrobial residue and resistance, Heavy metal toxicity, and Environmental toxicology. Currently working on Antibiotic residue in animal tissues and heat stress mitigation in broiler, which is a major concern nowadays in Bangladesh.
