Ishrat Alam is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Soil Science, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Before that, she worked as a Scientific Officer at Agro and Hydro-meteorology Division in SPARRSO (Bangladesh Space Research and Remote Sensing Organization) under the Ministry of Defence. She has completed her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Hons.) with Distinction from Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University. She secured the 2nd merit position with a CGPA 3.96 out of 4 and also achieved the Dean’s Award. She also completed her Master of Science in Soil Science from the same University, where she secured the 1st merit position with a CGPA 3.94 out of 4.
