Dr. Mohammad Saiful Islam Bhuiyan is a Professor of the department of Soil Science at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He did his Post-Doctoral research at Gyeongsang National University, S. Korea, and obtained Ph.D. from Charles Sturt University, Australia. Being a teacher, his main interest is to educate and motivate the students to comprehend the basic principles and perform high-quality research in soil and environment.

Dr. Bhuiyan attended and presented his research work at many national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops. So far, he has published 27 scientific articles in SCI-indexed reputed journals including Science and Science of The Total Environment, Journal of Cleaner Production, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Environmental Pollution, Agriculture, Ecosystems & Environment, Pedosphere, etc.

His researches mainly focus on establishment of soil management strategy (1) For increasing carbon sequestration (2) For suppressing greenhouse gas emission from arable land, and (3) For restoring problem land.

Expertise and skill: climate change and simulation model e.g., DNDC and DSSAT & Meta-analysis.
