SAU has finished Local Area Networking between 27 computers. As a result of this performance of work will improve significantly. Due to LAN users can share files and print from any location. This will also help for backup at remote place. SAU also have rent a 32 kbps internet connection from Global Online Ltd. Although this is not sufficient for the needs, but at least users become use to with this. In future it will be extended as per need.

The LAN is done by iSoft Technologies. They also setup the mail server. So that users of SAU can send and receive their mail using their own domain @sau.edu.bd. This is a great achievement towards e-governess. iSoft Technologies set up a Linux server for gateway and Mail. So users can share the same internet connection and mail.

The project is co-ordinated by Chairman, Assistant Prof. Salahuddin Mahmud Chowdhury, Dept. of Plant Pathology, who also known as symbol of IT in SAU.

After successful implementation iSoft Technologies conducted a training session among users, teachers and students.

The Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. A. M. Farooq said, this will enhance our achievement.
